The
COLOUR PALETTE WORKSHOPS

The Colour Palette Workshops are a series of three floral workshops that take inspiration from three distinct colour ways of an artist’s paint palette –

pale & interesting, bright & beautiful, bold & quirky.

Inspired by colour, and the interplay of its many wonderful and varied combinations, we will learn to create striking floral displays using beautiful locally grown flowers.

The workshops have an art history backdrop & are inspired by the work of different artists.

Each workshop has been designed to inspire, with the aim of fostering your creativity and giving you the floristry skills & confidence you need to develop your own unique floral style.

The workshops are small & very relaxed and informal with a focus on the individual.

They are interactive, practical and experimental.

All workshops are led by Sophie Witham and are held in Blossom & Dill’s florist studio in the beautiful 19th century octagonal dairy on the Notgrove Estate, Cotswolds.

Be inspired by the pale and interesting colour palette of John Constable’s studies of clouds.

Using a soft, pastel palette of flowers, including blues, pinks, lilacs and greys, learn how to create a beautifully feminine bouquet that is soft, romantic & ethereal in mood. The flowers will be a mixed collection of seasonal beauties, including roses, cosmos, nigella and sweet peas carefully sourced from local British growers.

Students will be encouraged to develop their own floral style as they experiment with soft colour and muted tone as they create painterly arrangements. We will also make dinky textured buttonholes to compliment the bouquet.
